Mama's Boy
This photographic series is not merely a comedic
attempt on the validity of motherhood; I am simply using the faceless and
familiar image of a mother to represent the overly padded world in which many
of us develop into fruition. It’s as
though we’re never allowed to play baseball without a tee or go bowling without
bumpers; the safety net is always there creating illusions of security and self
importance, birthing an individual with an I can do anything mindset. Is
this personal outlook detrimental or helpful? I hope not to generate answers or
beliefs; I simply wish to provoke questioning and stimulate a personal dialogue
about the self and it’s origins.
